Look no further than Sega Sports’ NFL 2K3 if you’re seeking a more than worthy alternative to the established Madden football franchise. The game’s superb graphics alone are enough to draw in any fan, but its in-depth gameplay and ESPN broadcast presentation easily rank this as the finest football game Sega has released to date. Thanks to its smarter-than-your-average artificial intelligence, NFL 2K3 sports a somewhat steep learning curve that requires sound footba… More >>

Madden will not be online, not on xbox anyway. Only 2k3 and NFL Fever will be online for the Box. Also, on the last “review”. Learn how to spell before coming here and making a fool of yourself. Thanks. My opinion on 2k3 is that the folks at Visual Concepts have a head start on the online aspects of football due to 2k1 and 2k2 for the dreamcast. They did admirable jobs on both…keeping me occupied for hours on end playing folks all over the US. Because of that reason I may choose to purchase NFL 2k3 over NFL Fever. Both, Im sure, will be excellent games.

I have to admit I am spoiled by the Madden football series, and it is hard to like a game like NFL 2K3 being used to the far superior game play and graphics in Madden 2002 (2003).
I will start with the good: it has online capability with XBox.
Thats about the best thing I can think of in reguards to this game.
The bad: [Poor], cartoonish, almost stupid looking players and people that run as dumb as they look. Maybe a small child would not mind this, but I don’t fit into that age group.
Game play is very difficult at most any level unless you happen to have very good receivers. It takes a while to get used to how to even move the ball, let alone win a superbowl at anything but a very begining level. Maybe months of practice may make a difference, but I can’t imagine myself playing this cartoonish game that long.
The play by play commentators could use less repetitive and silly jokes and comments. (that is silly-stupid, not silly-funny).
I am going to end my discussion here. The only thing this game has that is better than madden football(or even comes close to it) is that Sega was smart enough to make it Xbox Live.
Madden- Why no Xbox Live? This is a crime!!!!! I have to play this … game if I want to play online???

This edition launches the next generation of sports games with its online compatibility. Oh, and Da Bears will finally be an awesome team again. With online capability, besides being able to challenge a friend from your X-Box to theirs, you get actual game day weather. So if it’s snowing in Green Bay and that’s where you’re playing, it’ll be snowing during your game.
