Today, more than billions of people are energy poor and without access to clean energy services. They are unable to fulfill basic human needs; needs such as nutrition, heating, hygiene, and health.

1.6 billion people live without electricity
2.4 billion people use dirty, dangerous fuels for cooking

With this perpetual dependence on dirty sources of energy comes both environmental degradation and 1/3 of the world’s population powerless to break the cycle of poverty.

The Solution

The Energy Cures Campaign recognizes that by investing in clean energy entrepreneurs of developing nations, we can alleviate poverty, preserve the environment, and protect the health of humanity.

Extra effort and participation is needed as the situation is currently forecasted to remain virtually the same into 2030. Our environment and our people cannot withstand continued dependence on dirty energy any longer. Change needs to come today.
